  • Yes. All students hoping to access the Buckeye Food Alliance food pantry should schedule ahead of time. Orders can be placed by clicking the link on our website or visiting go.osu.ede/orderbfa. Please note that all orders must be placed at least 4 hours ahead of the time that you want to pick up and cannot be placed more than 48 hours in advance.

  • Any student may place an order by clicking on the order button at buckeyefoodalliance.org or by going to go.osu.ede/orderbfa. Here students can see our full menu of items and choose a time to pickup their food during our open hours.

  • We encourage students to come whenever they need. We understand that students’ needs vary greatly and want to be as accommodating as possible. Though most students come once per week, we know some may need more than one visit per week and some student may only need to come a few times per semester. Regardless of your specific needs we are here to serve you.

  • This is entirely up to what food items you choose off the menu and may vary depending on what donations we have received and what products we have in stock. Though inventory may vary, we work hard to ensure that students can choose from a selection of items such as fresh produce, milk, eggs, rice, beans, oatmeal, cereal, canned fruits and vegetables, pastas, snacks, and more.

  • Yes. Buckeye Food Alliance is a client choice pantry. This means that we try our best to avoid pre-made boxes or bags. When ordering online, you may choose any of the products outlined on our menu and we will try our best to ensure that the items you choose are the items that go home with you. Please note that certain items have higher demand and there are times that we run out of certain items. When this occurs we try our best to offer a substitution when able.

  • We offer personal care items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, and more. Though we try to keep our personal items fully stocks at all times, these are some of the harder items to come by, so our supplies vary greatly depending on what has been donated and what supplies are available to us.

  • We are currently accepting donations of unopened, non-perishable, non-expired food, baby items and hygiene products. Clothing items are not currently being accepted.

  • The Buckeye Food Alliance food pantry is operated by a team of highly dedicated student volunteers and we recruit new volunteers every fall semester. Fortunately, this means that we have a reliable base of volunteers to carry out our mission. This means that there are limited opportunities for external volunteers to get involved, but we are always happy to help accommodate when possible and refer to other wonderful volunteer opportunities on or near campus when necessary. If you are interested in using your skills and talents to help combat food insecurity, organizing food and personal care item drives are a great way to help. You can contact us to help with the logistics should this opportunity interest you.
